Infinity Marketing was started in January of 1990 by Clark Woodard who at the time had been a Mortgage Loan Officer working for the past 2 years for 3 different Mortgage Companies in Orange County, CA. At that time interest rates were steadily dropping in what was a giant refinance boom that was fueling the Real Estate Market.
The companies that Clark worked for still wanted to do 80% purchase business and 20% refinance business. Clark had an idea and saw a need for a niche business to do Direct Mail Marketing entirely focusing on the mortgage business. So, with some artwork and mailer designs he set out to try to talk to some mortgage brokers about letting him do their mailings and get paid by the lead produced.
The first mortgage broker and company he made an appointment with was Greg Shanberg of Allstate Funding. Greg liked what Clark was saying and enjoyed his honest no-nonsense approach and wrote Clark out a check for $2,500.00 and said go to work. That was the Allstate funding with 3 Loan Officers in a small broker office 14 years ago. Allstate funding is now a major mortgage lender with several wholesale divisions, Net branch operations as well, and still a major retail mortgage lender, and, uses to this day Clark and Infinity Marketing to handle all their Direct Mail. Since those early days Infinity Marketing has moved from California to New York, and has innovated direct mail mortgage marketing extensively.
